It also formalizes authority and funding for the web within the organization.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Web Governance: A Definition, by Lisa Welchman\" href=\"http:\/\/welchmanpierpoint.com\/blog\/web-governance-definition\">Web governance<\/a><\/strong> defines decision-making processes for the web, and sets policies and standards for web content, design, and technology\u00e2\u20ac\u201din a way that respects subject-matter expertise. (For example, your CEO shouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be setting standards for markup or tone of voice.)<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Web Execution: A Definition, by Lisa Welchman\" href=\"http:\/\/www.welchmanpierpoint.com\/blog\/web-execution-web-team-definition\">Web execution<\/a><\/strong> ensures that the organization has an appropriately staffed and resourced web team that can realistically execute the web strategy. (This is where most <cite>A List Apart<\/cite> readers work at the moment.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Web measurement<\/strong> measures web performance against the high-level objectives and metrics set by the web strategy.
